Food

SHI

I think we all know that I'm obsessed with food and if ya didn't know, now you know. I'm a huge Japanese, Chinese and Thai food fanatic and if you like any of those foods or a combination of all, SHI is perfect. Not only is the food AMAZING, but the restaurant itself is comfortable, classy and modern. It sits right across from the Long Island City Piers, so the view is just as amazing as the food. I've actually been here several times before for different occasions, so if you're looking for a holiday dinner spot or looking to celebrate your birthday,  this is the place to go. I brought my parents here for their anniversary last week and they really loved it. My dad ordered the salmon teriyaki with brown rice and salad, my mom got the orange chicken and I ended up getting the noodles. After we finished eating, we walked by the piers and just relaxed for the rest of the night. This is definitely one of my favorite go-to spots in Queens so if any of you ever have a chance to come here, DO IT! xx

The French Workshop

I'm such a sucker for aesthetic little coffee shops, especially if they have marble counters and tables. I found this little gem right on Bell Boulevard in Queens (thats in New York for those of you who aren't from the big apple!) and let me tell you, it was incredible. They have pastries ranging from lava cakes (which are my absolute favorite) to eclairs and in all honesty, the one thing that really caught my attention was the marble tables and counters they have. I'm obsessed with marble everything cause it's so aesthetically pleasing so I really enjoyed having a lava cake with some green tea and good company in a pretty coffee shop. They also have lunch sandwiches which I'll definitely try next time I go back.

If you guys ever have a chance to check it out, let me know what you think! xx

New York City is so great for all the pretty restaurants and great food options it has. Have I mentioned how lucky I am to live in such a great city? I went to a little hidden gem a few days ago called Jack and Nellie's and this cute little spot is everything you could ask for. Its cozy atmosphere makes you want to stay even after you're done eating and they're definitely killing the game with their healthy and savory food choices. Whether you want brunch, dinner or just to stop by for a drink, its the perfect place. I actually came here about a year ago and it's my go-to place for any occasion, so I decided to come here again with my boyfriend to introduce him to the great food he's been missing out on. I'm probably the biggest foodie you'll ever meet, you can ask anyone who truly knows me how much I LOVE food. But anyway, my boyfriend ended up loving the place. He ordered the lamb meatballs with mashed potatoes and I ended up getting a grilled chicken sandwich with tomatoes, lettuce, provolone cheese and spicy mayo with a side of leafy green salad and balsamic vinaigrette.  And of course, a glass of ice cold water for each of us (which we really needed in this scorching hot weather). This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants for its price, menu and its convenience (since its a 10-15 minute walk from my house) and it's a place I would recommend everyone to try out.
